Sakura. Tucked away on Hanover Street, Sakura was one of London’s earliest Japanese restaurants — modest, warm, and quietly timeless. Its wooden booths and comforting bowls of miso made it a haven for regulars long before Japanese food went mainstream. Though gone now, it remains fondly remembered as a gentle, unassuming gem of old London.
